Some people deserve to be unhappy. Some people deserve to lose. Some people even deserve to DIE.

First, let's look at the definition of deserving. Deserving is to be rewarded, as a result of past actions; to be worthy, to have as a result of your hard work.

After playing so well, the team really deserved their win.

After what he did, he deserved to go to prison.

This argument deserves a closer examination.

Deserving equal profit/gain/reward and should be based on your performance and hard work. Deserving means earning. Earning is the result of hard work and discipline therefore you deserve it. I hope/assume you agree with me so far. Most people (especially these days) think they deserve to be happy/healthy/successful/winners just because they are entitled (believe that one is entitled to certain privileges because of status or fate) without putting in any work (or minimal work). For example:

You need to work on keeping healthy through exercising and healthy habits;

You need to work hard to become successful;

You need to show respect and have passion in order to have a healthy relationship.

I'm assuming you agree with me that you need to put in the work (discipline/commitment) in order to see results (rewards/profit/gain). By doing that, you deserve your health/success/win/benefits/rewards/gain, etc. If you fail to do this (due to comfort/bad habits/bad choices, etc) should you deserve the consequences?

Let me expand. Let's say you are eating healthy, exercising and pretty much conducting a healthy lifestyle. You deserve to live a long, quality life, right? Again, you deserve it because you put in the work and discipline. Now let’s look at the opposite. If you're smoking, knowing that it can cause lung cancer, do you still deserve to live a long, healthy, quality life? If you're obese/overweight and keep eating food that will facilitate your weight gain, knowing that will eventually hurt you (heart attack, stroke, etc) or even kill you, again, do you still deserve to live a long, healthy quality life? Being aware of all this and still not doing anything (put in the work) to prevent it, would you deserve to die?

 What is the reason for this article?

 This article is for all the people continuing to live an unhealthy lifestyle despite all the information and the motivation that is out there. This article is for the people who are continuing to find excuses or blame someone else for their bad habits/choices. This article is for the people that are willing to gamble their life/health just because they're to comfortable to make a change and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Do yourself a favor and tell your family, friends, and loved ones that you deserve to die, what do you think they would say?

Wake up. Eat healthy. Exercise. Treat yourself with respect. If you don’t want to do it for yourself, do it for your loved ones.

 You're probably saying, why are you being so negative? You need to be aware of the consequences of your actions/bad habits in order to make better choices. I'm not being negative, I'm being responsible. If you know that your actions/behavior will eventually harm you or your loved ones, why not change it? Stay positive by acknowledging the negative. You need to acknowledge your weaknesses in order to build your strengths. Have a great healthy day. Thank you.
